Duval County Libraries are comprised of 17 Branches and they are as follows: Bartram Trail Branch Library, Beaches Branch, Bradham Brooks Northwest Branch, Brentwood Branch, Brown Eastside Branch, Dallas Graham Branch, Highlands Branch, Jacksonville Public Library System, Mandarin Branch, Murray Hill Branch, Regency Square Branch, San Marco Branch, Southeast Branch Library, Talking Book Library, Webb Wesconnett Branch, Westbrook Branch, and Willowbranch Branch.

Over 731,000 library materials have been purchased for the new library locations. Jacksonville was the first Florida city to initiate bookmobile services. On October 30, 1928 “The mobile branch” as it was called, made its first stop. In 1928, a one-ton Chevrolet truck fitted with a bookshelf body carried approximately 500 books to outlying areas of Jacksonville. The updated catalog can be access by Library customers catalog from home, work or anywhere they have internet access. The Catalog now has book reviews and author bios to help customers make a selection. In addition, users can click the Hot Titles link to see lists of award-winning books and special recommendations.

Customers can access expanded research resources on Library computers connected to the Internet. These resources now include 73 electronic databases such as InfoTrac, TopicSearch, NewsBank, Ethnic NewsWatch and others. Of those, 48 databases can be accessed from home by remote internet access. The newest resource links school-age children with live homework help through www.tutor.com . This brand new service is now available on library computers or by remote access by logging on jpl.coj.net.
